How to e-file Final Submission for the Tax Year (FSY) in order to Start New Tax Year?

You are required by law to do a FINAL SUBMISSION FOR THE TAX YEAR (FSY), before you start the RTI for the New Tax Year.

In our application you can do this by submitting a Final Employer Payment Summary (Final EPS) . When you submit the FSY via Final EPS, there is no need to e-file EPS separately. Final EPS submissions should be submitted to HMRC by 19th April. HMRC will still accept a Final EPS after the 19th but you may incur late filing penalties.

To do the Final Submission for the Tax Year (FSY) follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Go to the Tasking Zone and select E-Filing RTI then click on the Final Submission for the Tax Year sub menu.

Step 2: Click on the button 'Regular Payroll User with Live Data to Start NEW TAX YEAR'.

Step 3: Answer the points given by selecting 'YES'. Click the 'Continue' button.

Step 4: Click the 'Continue' button.

Step 5: View the detailed status of your final EPS. Click the 'Continue' button.

Step 6: Confirm the Employer's Declaration form by entering the required details. Click the 'Confirm' button.

Step 7: Click on the 'Live e-filing' button to e-file the EPS data to HMRC.

Step 8: Click on the 'E-Filing Submission Details' button to view the EPS E-Filed status.

Step 9: Finally click on the 'View / Print' button to view or print the E-Filed employees data. You can also view or print the E-Filed Certificate & Digital Receipt.
