Authentication error means your HMRC e-filing credentials are either wrong or incomplete. You need to enter the HMRC e-filing credentials listed below. If you have not already got HMRC e-filing credentials you must contact HMRC to ask for them.
The e-filing credentials are:
PAYE Reference Number
Accounts Office Reference Number
HMRC given User ID
HMRC given Password
Road Map - E-filing Credentials Set Up
Employer/Setup -> Chart of Setup- > E-Filing -> E-Filing Setup -> Edit button -> Save button
( 'Employer/Setup' is the button positioned in the tasking zone menu at the top. It is the first button on the left)
